Rivet Nut

Rivet nuts are used in indoor and window assemblies. The purpose is to solve the problems that the metal plate is too thin, the tube is too thin, the melting point of the tube welded with the welding nut is too low, the base material is easily deformed, and the internal thread of the nut is easy to lose teeth or wear. Rivet nuts do not require internal threads and welding nuts and are highly efficient and easy to use.

Application

If the nut of a certain product needs to be installed on the outside, and the space inside is narrow, the pressure head of the riveting machine cannot be entered for pressure riveting and the method of pulling buds cannot meet the strength requirements, then pressure riveting and expansion riveting are not feasible. Riveting must be used. It is suitable for the fastening field of plates and pipes of various thicknesses (0.5MM-6MM). Using pneumatic or manual riveting gun can riveting at one time, which is convenient and firm; it replaces the traditional welding nut and makes up for the deficiencies of thin metal plate, thin tube welding, and welding nut not smooth.

Scope of application

Rivet nuts are mainly used for non-structural load-bearing bolt connections, such as the connection of internal parts such as railway cars, highway passenger cars, and ships. The improved anti-rotation rivet nut is better than the aircraft pallet nut. The advantage is lighter weight, no need to fix the pallet nut in advance, and it can be used without operating space on the back of the substrate.

Size

The specifications of rivet nuts in national standards are M3, M4, M5, M6, M8, M10 and M12. In fact, M5, M6 and M8 are recommended because the thread can be connected directly to the base plate. The weight of the large thread is greatly increased, and the connection strength of the rivet nut is limited, that is, the matching is not reasonable. As can be seen from the above, rivet nuts can be widely used on aluminum alloy substrates of different thicknesses or steel plates with a thickness of 1-2.5 mm. In particular, there are more connections between steel rivet nuts and aluminum alloy parts, thereby eliminating the tedium of embedding steel plates inside, and the manufacturability is significantly improved.
